Terms

Last updated: 2026-10-02

These are the terms for using LiferList, a service for keeping your bird life list and its photos, videos and recordings. "LiferList", "we" and "us" mean the operator of lifer-list.com, reachable at contact@lifer-list.com. By creating an account or using LiferList you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need to be at least 13. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account.

Plans and billing

LiferList has a Free plan and paid plans (Plus, Pro and Max); what each includes and costs is shown in the app under Plan & billing before you pay. Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax; where we're required to collect sales tax, it's added and shown before you pay. Paid plans are currently available only to customers with a US billing address; the Free plan is open worldwide.

When a paid plan ends

Nothing is deleted. If you're over the Free plan's storage, you can still see and download everything, but you can't add new media until you're under it again or choose a paid plan. Your share links pause (they aren't deleted) and work again when you're on a paid plan.

Your content

Your life list, outings, sightings, places, photos, videos, recordings and notes stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, process and show them to you and to whoever you share them with. Only upload what you have the right to upload.

Acceptable use

Follow the Acceptable use policy. We may turn off sharing, remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks it or these terms. Report problems to abuse@lifer-list.com.

Copyright

We respond to copyright notices as described on the Copyright page, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Stopping

You can stop using LiferList and delete your account at any time (see Deleting your account). Deleting your account ends a paid plan right away, without a refund for the rest of the period.

No warranty; limits

LiferList is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

Third-party content and credits

See Credits & licenses.

LiferList isn't affiliated with eBird, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology or AviList.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma.

Changes

We'll update this page and its date when anything changes, and tell account holders about important changes before they apply.
