Delete your LiferList account

In the app

1. Open More, then Delete my account.
2. Confirm it's you (you may be asked to sign in again).
3. Type delete to confirm.
4. Tap Delete my account.

Without the app

Email contact@lifer-list.com from the address you sign in with. We'll confirm it's you and delete your account within 7 days.

What's deleted

Everything: your account, your sign-in, your life list, outings, sightings, places, photos, videos, recordings, what you imported from eBird, your API key if you made one, and your share links with the name shown on them. Your share links stop working as soon as the deletion starts (at once in the app; when we act on an email request, within the 7 days above); photo addresses already opened through them expire within 15 minutes (videos and recordings within an hour).

• A paid plan: it ends at once, without a refund for the rest of the period.
• Your customer record at Stripe (Stripe keeps the payment records the law requires).

What we keep, and for how long

• Database backups, for up to 14 days.
• Deleted-file versions, for about 30 days.
• Server logs, for 30 days.
• Records of sign-ins kept by AWS for 90 days: the time, the IP address and an internal user ID; nothing else.
• Payment records at Stripe, as required by law.

You don't have to delete your whole account

Single photos, outings, sightings and places can each be deleted in the app on their own, without deleting your account. See Privacy for more on what we keep and why.
